Ms. Yiyi holds a Ph.D. in Music Theory, with a minor in Piano Pedagogy, from the University of North Texas—one of the world’s most prestigious music institutions. A gifted pianist and dynamic educator, she has been actively performing throughout the DFW area, delivering four to five solo concerts within the first half of 2025.

Ms. Yiyi has served as faculty at both the University of North Texas and Dallas Baptist University, teaching undergraduate core music courses. In addition to her academic contributions, she is a respected public speaker and scholar, having presented papers on Chinese traditional vocal music and Western music topics at the Society for Music Theory’s international annual meeting in 2023. Her research has been published in Music Culture Studies, the Journal of Zhejiang Conservatory of China, and the peer-reviewed journal Harmonia at the University of North Texas.
