Policies and Procedures for Families

ENROLLMENT:

The NSSOTA enrollment process is that once a student is enrolled into the studio, a designated time slot is assigned to the student. The weekly slot is held through regular tuition payments.

LEARNING SUPPLIES:

Instructors may request that students purchase supplies and materials. Many supplies are available online and through Amazon.

ACCOUNT SET UP:

Once your online enrollment is complete, you will receive an email with instructions on how to set up your student account. The studio accepts two forms of payment:

  • ACH
  • Credit Card

TUITION:

Tuition is billed on the first day of each month at a flat rate, based on 4 lessons monthly. The student’s first month will be prorated accordingly. Accounts are not charged at a higher rate in the event that there are 5 lessons in a month, and accounts are not charged at a lower rate in the event that there are only 3 lessons (during a holiday) in a month.

LATE PAY POLICY:

If tuition payment is not able to be drafted by the FIFTH day of each month, a ten dollar late charge will be assessed.

PUNCTUALITY:

The appointed lesson time has been reserved for the student each week. We LOVE our students and every minute counts, but please understand that we cannot “steal” time from another student or teacher in the case of tardiness. Lessons must stay on schedule, so please be punctual. We are committed to providing the scheduled amount of lesson time.

MEDIA RELEASE:

We regularly take photos/videos of our students and faculty to post on social media or use on our website. We also take photos and/or videos of performances. If you do NOT wish to release the use of your student’s image, likeness, or voice for NSSOTA marketing purposes and would like to OPT OUT, please fill out this form to have it added to your student’s records. If you have any questions, contact [email protected].

COMMUNICATION:

Please understand that we do all we can to help you feel well informed via email, text message, etc. However, a failure to read studio communication that has been sent to the communication platforms you have provided to us does not nullify adherence to studio policies. To ensure steady business operations, policies will be enforced at all times.

STAY CONNECTED:

The Administrative Department is available at [email protected] to assist you with any questions you may have regarding studio policies, tuition fee schedule, billing, payment method, etc. Questions regarding scheduling can be directed to [email protected]. Questions regarding learning material, or inquiries pertaining to instruction may be handled between the instructor and/or Owner, Heather Parks.

MISSED PRIVATE LESSONS OR GROUP CLASSES:

MISSED PRIVATE LESSONS: In the event you are not able to attend your weekly private lesson in person at the scheduled time, please choose one of the options below:

Option 1) Virtual Lesson via Zoom or FaceTime – call the office at 214-915-2787 or e-mail [email protected] at least five hours prior to the scheduled lesson.

Option 2) A “reschedule credit” will be issued when a lesson is canceled with a 24-hour notice. To cancel your lesson, log in to your “client/student portal” at nssota.opus1.io/login

  • Cancellations with less than 24-hour notice will not qualify for a reschedule, which includes being sick the day of a scheduled lesson.
