Ms. Talitha is a pianist, harpsichordist, and opera singer with a particular love of Early Music and Spanish piano repertoire. Over the last few years, she has presented at the Texas Society for Music Theory on both video game music and on Mozart’s Keyboard Concertos. She played a pivotal role in directing the UNT Opera production of La Rondine and participated in a number of ensembles – A Cappella Choir at the University of North Texas and Vox Aquilae (its Early Music choir) – along with playing harpsichord for the UNT Baroque Orchestra.
In particular, Ms. Talitha is very passionate about making music accessible to all students, regardless of age or background and continually searches for new, creative ways to share musical concepts. She is always looking to expand her individual skills as well as her teaching abilities. Above all, she believes that as a student begins to grasp the concepts of music (technical, theoretical, and artistic), they will develop greater self-confidence, enabling them to take on the multifaceted challenges of life.
