Mr. Zu is a highly experienced music educator and multi‑instrumentalist with nearly thirty years of teaching expertise. His musical background is wide‑ranging, shaped by advanced study across multiple genres and mentorship from respected musicians and educators in the Los Angeles area. His professional growth has also taken him throughout the Pacific Northwest and Japan, where he participated in workshops, performances, and collaborative projects with distinguished artists and instructors.

Since 1996, Mr. Zu has taught students of all ages and skill levels in private studios, K–8 schools, and college programs. Beyond the classroom, he has held music leadership roles since 1999—directing ensembles, mentoring musicians, and supporting both professional and volunteer performers in church and community settings.

Known for his patient, encouraging, and student‑centered approach, Mr. Zu is committed to helping each learner build strong musical foundations, grow in confidence, and develop a lifelong appreciation for music and the arts.
