Ms. Shera loves teaching music. She has devoted her life to music education and is passionate about sharing music with students of all ages and levels. Ms. Shera is a multi-instrumentalist and has experience teaching piano, voice, guitar, ukulele, and brass instruments, along with early childhood music. Her teaching approach centers on the belief that music should be an enjoyable and meaningful outlet for every student. With this in mind, she strives to create an environment where learning is fun, customizable, and appropriately challenging. Ms. Shera is dedicated to helping students discover their unique musical voices in her private lesson teaching. When teaching in a group or ensemble setting, Ms. Shera seeks to foster a sense of collaboration and teamwork. Drawing on her rich experiences at the University of North Texas, where she performed with the renowned 9 O’ClockLab Band and The Green Brigade, she brings a wealth of diverse perspectives to her teaching. Her deep passion for music and education is evident in her continuous efforts to grow as an educator. Ms. Shera looks forward to helping each student gain confidence and find joy in making music, ensuring that her lessons nurture personal and musical growth. Her commitment to the arts and to her students makes her a treasured member of the New Song community.
