Ms. Naomi is a passionate educator with over 30 years of experience in teaching. She enjoys teaching piano and many other subjects to children and adults of all ages. Born in Japan and raised by Taiwanese parents, Ms. Naomi learned four languages, and with her unique upbringing she has experienced various cultures.
Her greatest goal in teaching is to create a motivating and enjoyable learning process. She works to build a safe and encouraging relationship as she celebrates her student’s progress.
As a music teacher, Ms. Naomi incorporates a variety of methods including the Suzuki method, which is an educational system that aims to teach children how to play music with the same ease that they learn to speak their language. This process includes listening, imitation, and repetition. She also believes that a successful learning process is founded in a triangular relationship between the teacher, student, and parents. She not only teaches her students, but also seeks to communicate to parents how to be a support to their child’s musical journey.
Additionally, Ms. Naomi has been a long-time church pianist and shares her music talents as an accompanist at violin schools, public school orchestra, children’s choirs, and Bible Study Fellowship.
