Ms. Julie brings a wealth of experience to New Song School of the Arts. With insight from teaching private music lessons, as well as college-level music theory, fundamentals, sight-singing, ear training, and composition, she brings a well-rounded musical understanding to her students. As a composer, Ms. Julie values the importance of learning music as a language. She focuses on teaching the importance of music theory as the key to music knowledge and individual creativity. Ms. Julie customizes her curriculum to each student’s goals, direction, purpose, and potential. In both her piano and vocal teaching, Julie has taught students ranging in ages 5 to 85 from beginner to advanced levels. Ms. Julie also enjoys coaching seasoned students in audition processes and focused improvement of all genres. FUN, adaptive, creative, and engaging are all words that describe Ms. Julie’s style of teaching and she is excited to help her students find inspiration on their musical journey.
