Mr. Isaiah is an accomplished jazz and classical pianist whose diverse musical training allows him to teach students through multiple approaches, whether they are developing foundational skills, exploring creativity, or advancing toward more serious study. Growing up with two band-director parents, he was immersed in music from early childhood; his musical education was ever-present at home, where rehearsals, lessons, and musical conversations shaped his understanding of artistry and discipline.
As a teacher, Mr. Isaiah is known for his patience, clarity, and ability to adapt to each student’s individual learning style. He blends strong technical instruction with expressive musicianship, helping students gain confidence while genuinely understanding the music they play. His background in both classical and jazz education gives him a uniquely well-rounded perspective, enabling him to guide students in reading, technique, theory, improvisation, and musical interpretation.
As a performer, Mr. Isaiah has earned recognition at the highest collegiate level, serving as the pianist for the world-renowned One O’Clock Lab Band—one of the most prestigious and competitive jazz ensemble positions in the country at University of North Texas.
Isaiah’s ongoing professional performance experience continually informs and enriches his teaching.
