Ms. Daniëlla has over 9 years of teaching experience, with students ranging from 5 to 50 years old, spanning private lessons in voice, piano, group theory classes, and Jazz studies. Ms. Daniëlla shares and adaptive way of teaching where she adapts her teaching style to suit the individual needs of each student she teaches. She enjoys sharing her love of music with each student and creating a comfortable and trusting environment where students can learn optimally while having fun and find their confidence. As a vocalist Ms. Daniëlla is a big advocate of self expression, improving confidence and finding one’s true voice through performance.

Ms. Daniella recently moved to the United States from South Africa, where she was born, and received her undergraduate degree in jazz studies. She has been a professional jazz vocalist for over 7 years and have competed in national and international jazz competitions where she won awards. She has performed with some of the most distinguished South African jazz musicians and has been invited to perform for two former presidents of South Africa.

  • B.Tech. in Jazz and Popular music from Tshwane University of Technology (South Africa)
  • Master’s Degree Continued Studies in Jazz Studies, University of North Texas
  • 2nd Place at UNISA National Jazz Voice Competition, 2017
  • 2nd Place at SAMRO International Jazz Scholarship Competition, 2019
  • Downbeat Award 2021 singing with UNT Jazz Singers
