Brass
Mr. Cody is a DFW-based trumpet player and music educator with over a decade of public performance experience. He has professionally performed as both a jazz and classical trumpet player, enabling him to provide instruction in both classical and modern styles such as pop, jazz, and musical theatre.

In addition to his primary focus on trumpet, Mr. Cody is proficient in all brass instruments, including French horn, trombone, euphonium, and tuba, allowing him to support and teach a wide range of brass students at various levels.

Mr. Cody is a member of the brass staff in Northwest ISD. He teaches private lessons to middle and high school students, helping them prepare for competitions, solo and ensemble, and to learn concert and solo repertoire. Mr. Cody’s teaching experience equips him to educate and tailor lessons to students across all ages and abilities. His education in jazz studies informs a teaching style that provides a unique and well-rounded learning experience for both jazz and classical brass students.
