Mr. Malcolm is an experienced, passionate, and inspiring piano teacher. He teaches students of all ages, ranging from young children to adult amateurs. He studied piano pedagogy with the former president of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), Dr. Scott McBride Smith, at the University of Kansas, where he taught as a graduate teaching assistant. He was trained to teach in various methods and settings, including private piano lessons, group piano classes, and online piano lessons using remote technology, etc.

Now as a teaching fellow and candidate of the graduate artist certificate, he studies with Prof. Vladimir Viardo at the University of North Texas. As a prize-winning pianist himself, he is specialized in discovering and developing student’s talent. He believes each student is talented in their own unique way, and there is nothing more important than inspiring the student to find their passion in music—the love of music is the best motivation.
