Ms. LaNell has been a music educator for over 30 years, coaching numerous competition and festival winners. She is an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about providing the best musical experience for each of her students, regardless of age or level.

She has served on faculty at The Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago, Illinois, as well as the Music Institute of North Texas. Ms. LaNell is also a former editor of Clavier magazine, and former writer of Piano Explorer magazine.
