Throughout her budding musical career, Ms. Carly has taught saxophone students all across the country. Ms. Carly grew up in Los Angeles, always surrounded by incredible jazz music until she took to playing it herself; the rest is history!

Ms. Carly’s instruction emphasizes the importance of making your instrument a true extension of yourself and teaches playing from a standpoint of sincerity and creativity. Her students range from beginners just falling in love with music, to more experienced players excited to dig into more advanced learning. Ms. Carly has experience playing in both jazz and classical styles and is also versed in flute and clarinet. She has performed all around Los Angeles and the DFW area, most notably with UNT’s One O’Clock Lab Band, and is known for her unique tone and beautiful sense of melody.

Education and Accomplishments:

  • B.M. in Jazz Performance and minor in Commercial Music from the University of North Texas (in progress)
  • Member of the GRAMMY-nominated One O’Clock Lab Band
  • Educator at the Stanford Jazz Workshop and the Colburn School of Performing Arts Jazz Camp
